Tubolito produces tubes unlike any other. This tube weighs just 34g, about 50g less than many standard tubes. It's also about twice as durable as standard tubes. Tubolito tubes are manufactured in an environmentally friendly manner.
Tubolito inner tubes are made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), which makes them lighter and more durable than standard ones.
Durability was measured using a needle penetration test, which measures the force required to puncture the inner tube with a pin. The results showed that twice the force was required to puncture a standard mountain bike inner tube.
Thermal resistance has been tested according to DIN ISO 4210.
The inner tubes are orange – not to make them easier to find, but to emphasize their innovative character.
An additional advantage is that they are more environmentally friendly than standard TPUs. TPU production requires less CO₂ and water than traditional manufacturing processes.
The tube can be inflated with a stationary pump or a CO₂ cartridge. Maximum pressure depends on the tire selection, not the Tubolito tube itself.
Tire and tube installation:
We recommend avoiding tire levers during installation—they can damage the tire or tube. It may seem difficult, but technique, practice, and patience are key.

They can be easily patched using the Tube-Flix-Kit. No separate glue is required – cleaning wipes and patches are included.
