Antymateria was founded in late 2013 thanks to the energy of Krzysztof Najder and Sebastian Smyl. Both shared a passion for tinkering with bicycles and were convinced that the market was lacking light, simple, and fast bicycles functionally suited to urban riding. From the company's inception, such bikes were offered at the company's first store and service center at Tamka 33. Krzysztof (a doctor of psychology), founder of Stratosphere, a strategic marketing firm, contributed to Antymateria, among other things, the idea for the brand itself and developed the initial business objectives. From the outset, Sebastian was responsible for all technical aspects of the bikes and the operation of the service. In 2015, Przemysław Żebrowski joined the group of shareholders. Like Krzysztof, he has devoted most of his professional life to the marketing services industry (he is a co-founder and shareholder of K2 Internet SA, a holding company that includes some of the largest and most recognized interactive agencies in the country). At the end of 2015, Antymateria opened in a new location – in Warsaw's Mokotów district (ul. Skolimowska 6/16). The new location allows for the presentation of a wider range of bicycle models and, on the other hand, for a more convenient organization of the service area.
