Bicycle wheels are available as integrated wheels (made from a single shell, usually carbon fiber) or spoked designs. Spoked wheels dominate the market, not only because of their price. Spoked wheels offer many advantages – they are relatively lightweight and easy to handle and install. Rims can be made of aluminum, steel, or carbon fiber, with carbon fiber being the most common material on the market. The wheels offered at Antymateria are usually self-laced and centered. Spokes are laced in several ways. Most often, these are "double-cross" or "triple-cross" – meaning each spoke crosses the others twice (once from the top and once from the bottom) or three times. Less common are "single-cross" and "sun-cross" lacing; the latter method produces the lightest and vertically stiffest wheel, but usually requires regular centering (especially during intense riding). The more crossovers, the less chance of misalignment, but the stiffness is also compromised. With custom-made tires, we can also be picky when choosing the spokes themselves. There are many types, differing in material, finish, and, above all, weight. A tire with an inner tube or a tubular tire is mounted on the rim. Rims differ in diameter and width, which determines the thickness of the tires that can be mounted on them. Wheel sizes are traditionally given in inches or sometimes in millimeters. Road bikes (and also most bicycles assembled by nad for city riding) use 622 mm wheels, also known as a standard 700cc tire (approximately 700 mm), which corresponds to a 28-inch size. Road bikes use 700B wheels – 630 mm, sometimes mistakenly called 27 inches, and 700A wheels – 635 mm ("old" 28 inches). Mountain bikes use 26-inch wheels (ISO 559 mm), while BMX bikes use 20-inch wheels. Recently, the 29-inch tire has made a comeback in the MTB segment, but it's actually an ISO 622 mm wheel with a fat off-road tire. In addition, smaller wheels like 24", 18", 16", 14", and even 12" are also used on various touring bikes, city bikes (folding bikes), and children's bikes.
