The Brompton extended length seat post is designed for slightly taller riders (as a guide, with an inside leg of 838mm to 889mm). This seat post provides up to 6cm of extra saddle height compared to the standard Brompton seat post.

NOTE: When the bike is folded, the saddle will be 6 cm higher. This is due to the extra 6 cm of length at the top of the seat post.

Replacing a standard seat post with a longer one is one of the easiest jobs on a Brompton and involves the following steps:

  1. Remove the saddle with the yoke using an Allen key;
  2. Release the seatpost clamp;
  3. Slide the old seatpost (down) out of the frame;
  4. Insert the new seatpost into the frame (from the top).
  5. Attach the seatpost/yoke to the new seatpost (torque should be 15 Nm for the seatpost)
