The Colt saddle was first produced in 1979. The Colt was praised by Brooks fans for its reliability and durability. Production of the Colt was discontinued for unexplained reasons several years ago, but it was a common saddle worldwide, a testament to its aforementioned advantages. Many Colts were found on BMX bike seatposts, which is unusual for a Brooks saddle, as it certainly isn't suitable.
Today, the Colt is back in production, appealing to a new, style-conscious generation with a bold range of colors. The vibrant colors are achieved using natural plant dyes, which is common to all Brooks leather products.
