Instytut Reportażu i Anty zapraszają na cykl spotkań "Zimowa rozgrzewka"!

The Institute of Reportage and Anty invite you to a series of meetings "Winter Warm-Up"!

We appreciate initiatives that promote year-round cycling and show that cyclists don't have to "sleep through" winter. In fact, it has its own unique atmosphere! Besides, as the Norwegian saying goes, "friluftsliv": there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. And when you combine cycling with meaningful encounters with interesting people, it becomes a very attractive way to spend your time.

That's why we're launching "Winter Warm-Up" in December. It's a new series of events at the Institute of Reportage , featuring shared bike rides, discussions about books and bikes, coffee breaks, and a podcast. Guests include Michał Kempa, Olga Drenda, and Piotr Socha.

We'll meet once or twice a month for a short but energetic bike ride, during which we'll explore Warsaw from different, often unusual perspectives. Each ride ends at the welcoming Wrzenie Świata (World's Rising). There, we'll sit down for a warm and hearty meal and listen to engaging conversations with people who combine cycling with their art. The hosts will be Juliusz Ćwieluch, a journalist for the weekly Polityka and author of the podcast "Bikes Not Fairy Tales," and Filip Springer, a reporter and cyclist.

The series begins on Saturday, December 14th , and our guest will be Jan Mencwel – cultural animator, publicist, commentator, social activist, city activist, Warsaw councilor, co-founder of the Miasto Jest Nasze association. Author of the books "Concrete. How Polish Cities Are Destroyed" and "Hydrozagadka. Who Takes Polish Water and How to Recover It." Co-founder of the "Krajobraz" Tourist Society, and, of course... a year-round cyclist.

The event poster shows a person standing next to a bicycle in a snowy environment. The text includes "Anti-Winter Warm-Up," "Guest: Jan Mencwel," and event details.

Event plan :

9:45 - Antymateria Shop, Skolimowska Street 6 - tea and warm-up.

10:00 - 11:00 - ride along the original route prepared by Jan Mencwel.

11:00 - arrival at Wrzenie Świata (Gałczyńskiego 7).

The next events will take place:

January 1st - We're riding into the New Year on bikes with Filip Springer and Juliusz Ćwieluch. This will be a casual, shared bike ride to clear our minds.

He can also be seen on Warsaw comedy stages. He is a true cycling enthusiast.

April 5 - Asia Wojsiat : host of the radio show/podcast "Wojsiat generally" on Newonce Radio, where she popularizes science, and of her Instagram profile (drjoanwojsiat), where she shares scientific news. Author of the popular science book "This Is How the Brain Works. How to Care for Its Functioning Wisely." In her educational activities, she primarily addresses issues related to neuroscience, neurobiology, mindfulness/mindwork, and lifestyle medicine. She is a graduate of Psychosomatics and Somatopsychology at SWPS University in Warsaw, Sports Dietetics at the University of Physical Education in Warsaw, and postgraduate studies in Clinical Trial Conduct and Monitoring at Kozminski University in Warsaw. In this way, recharged, inspired, and enriched with new knowledge, we will arrive at the official start of the 2025 season. We cordially invite you to join us, and we promise that together with the Institute of Reportage, we will make every effort to ensure that these are truly interesting events.
