Titan in Poland

Titanium in Poland, from curiosity to a sensible option

For many years, titanium in the Polish cycling world functioned on the margins. Not because it lacked advantages, but because it was hard to come by, expensive, and almost always associated with full custom builds. A titanium frame meant a bespoke project, long lead times, and the need to make decisions that only a narrow circle of very conscious users were ready for.

Today, the situation is different. We are still not talking about a mass market or a boom, but about a clear qualitative change. Titanium has ceased to be an exotic toy in Poland and has begun to function as a real material alternative – especially in the gravel and all-road segments. This is the result of several processes: user maturation, the growing importance of long-distance riding, and the emergence of domestic brands that can offer this material in various, sensible forms.

Polish offer: different paths to the goal

It is worth emphasizing one thing: Polish titanium is not developing according to a single scenario. There is no single "right" model; instead, there are various concepts for working with this material, and these are what create today's market landscape. The differences concern not only the way frames are designed but also availability, the level of personalization, and, crucially for many, the price.

Series and semi-series production: titanium "for sale"

The first group consists of bikes where titanium functions as an element of an organized, repeatable offer. Rondo, with its model RUUT Ti, represents a fully serial approach. The customer receives a proven gravel platform, modern components, and a clear purpose. In this case, titanium does not change the concept of the bike but influences its operating characteristics, durability, and resistance to intensive use. This solution is the most easily accessible and usually the lowest priced among Polish titanium offerings.

Koloride goes a little further towards individualization. Although we are still talking about specific frame designs, the user has a much greater influence on the configuration: the choice of drivetrain, wheels, or equipment details. This is a semi-series approach, where titanium is already a conscious functional choice, not just a material variant. Price-wise, this means a clear step above production bikes, but still without the costs and time characteristic of full custom builds.

Custom and open projects: maximum freedom

The second group consists of solutions based on full personalization. Karamba Frameworks treats titanium as a material for individual frame projects. Geometry, structural details, and purpose are determined from scratch, in dialogue with the user. This represents the highest level of customization and, at the same time, the highest entry barrier, both financial and organizational.

It is also worth mentioning Loca Bikes, which announces titanium as an expansion of its offer. This is an interesting signal, as it suggests an attempt to combine expedition bike building experience with a material that works particularly well for long-distance and intensive use. Although we are still talking about announcements, the direction is clear: titanium as a tool, not an extravagance.

How does it look in practice?

Approach Example brands Availability Personalization Price positioning
Series model Rondo immediately / short lead time low lowest
Semi-series / short runs Koloride medium medium medium
Full custom Karamba long lead time very high highest
Mid-market ANTY immediately or to order high mid-range

Where do we fit into all of this?

At ANTY, we have always treated titanium as a practical material, not a statement. Our titanium gravel bike exists as a complete, ready-to-ride bicycle, with clearly defined specifications and purpose. At the same time, we offer the possibility of building a bike from scratch or making far-reaching modifications – to an extent that genuinely approaches customisation, but without the need to start the entire design process from a blank slate.

This is a conscious positioning between the series market and full custom. Price-wise, it means the middle of the pack: higher than typical catalog bikes, but below individual frame projects. Functionally, it offers great freedom: a ready-made bike for those who just want to ride, and a solid base for those who know they will want to customize their equipment over time.

Slowly, but in the right direction

The Polish titanium market is developing calmly and without fanfare — but that is precisely its strength. Instead of one dominant model, we have several sensible paths, each addressing different needs. Titanium has not become a mass material, and probably never will. However, it has become a mature material, present in various, increasingly interesting forms.

This is a good time to take a closer look at it — without myths, without haste, but with the thought of how we truly want to ride in the coming years.
