The chain tensioner wheels are made of durable nylon.
Over time, these will wear out and can contribute to chain slip under load.
It is common to replace the entire chain tensioner assembly - but you can replace only the wheels and related components to save some money.
This derailleur wheel kit consists of the following components:
A pair of wheels (tensioner) for the 2-speed or 6-speed bicycle version.
Sliding bearings (pair - approx. 19mm long and 6mm diameter)
Mounting nut (approx. 30mm long) and bolt (pair)
Washer (pair)
End cap (pair)
Allows replacement of only the worn wheels in the Brompton chain tensioner.
Tip: to make the wheels last longer (this applies to all drivetrain components) - keep them clean from dirt.
Tools required:
2.5 mm Allen key
10mm wrench
small flat-blade screwdriver
